I’ve also been constructing an alternative history scenario, with a story partly written, and the rest of it still in my head! This feeds into my artwork, and I have the pipedream of putting together an illustrated anthology of this work, to publish on Amazon. Apart from sci-fi and fantasy, my pictures have humorous, religious and just plain real-life themes. Last year I was part of the local Open Studios effort, putting on my own exhibition in two rooms of a house. Currently I have another small exhibition, in its 3 rd extended year in the local hospital. I also design cards for the watercolour guy’s pictures. So now I run a tiny business, producing art prints and greetings cards from my pictures, which are all created using DAZ Studio. My sci-fi and fantasy CGI art scenes provided quite a contrast from his Fine Art work on pastoral and railway themes! Two or three years later, shortly before my (nominal) retirement, I put together a small digital art show in the town library, having been invited to share the exhibition space of a watercolour artist friend. I discovered DAZ Studio around 7 years ago (was it that long?), while I was being made redundant from a long-term database programming job. Some of these Case Studies require purchased 3D models, for example from the DAZ Shop. Note: DAZ Studio version with dForce is assumed for Instant Poncho. Introductory session (half-hour, covered by free ticket)

You don’t need to have a “problem” to use it! It’s fun to use, for example you can just start with primitive 3D shapes such as a square, sphere or cone, and create things like the Instant Poncho, or the Little Pig’s armour, in the pictures above. Solution: It can! The answer? You’ve guessed it – DAZ Studio Geometry Editor Problem 4: You wish DAZ Studio could do some editing of 3D models, but you don’t want to learn Hexagon, Blender or Zbrush. Problem 3: You’d like to use part of an existing vehicle or device as a separate kitbashing component, but can’t figure out how. Problem 2: You want to hide or remove part of a 3D prop, but can only hide entire surfaces, and this is not good enough. But you want to apply different colours to the top and skirt! Problem 1: You’ve bought a 3D dress product and found it has only one surface. Here are some challenges in DAZ Studio that can be solved by the Geometry Editor… Take advantage in this interactive webinar to ask questions and go deep on learning this underused but essential tool. In this webinar on Sunday 25 October, Trevor will show you several practical examples of what can be done with the Geometry Editor, and will explain its features. Some DAZ Studio users haven’t heard of the Geometry Editor, and some think it’s too complex to use.īut it’s all there in DAZ Studio, and it really isn’t so scary!
